This video highlights efforts of a network of people living with HIV (PLHIV) in establishing a community pharmacy (“TAAL“) for antiretroviral medication in Maharashtra and their recent partnership with the USAID-supported Project ACCELERATE in scaling-up the pharmacy into a single-window, integrated clinic (“TAAL+“) which comprehensively addresses the needs of PLHIV (incorporating management of infectious and non-infectious diseases) through innovation and multi-sectoral collaboration. This model is among the first private-sector self-sustaining models for PLHIV that is owned and run by the PLHIV community in India.”
