USAID /Jamaica is seeking innovative market-based and private sector led solutions to strengthen the ability of Jamaica’s energy sector to withstand or rebound quickly from weather-related shocks.
On September 20, 2019 USAID Development Credit Authority (DCA) finalized the agreement of 25 million dollar Loan Portfolio Guarantee with the National Commercial Bank Jamaica, which will increase access to finance for individuals, households, SMEs, entrepreneurs, and companies across the Caribbean region (Jamaica, the Eastern and Southern Caribbean) pursuing renewable energy sector endeavors.
