USAID/Albania Country Representative, Dr. Catherine Johnson and Berat Mayor Petrit Sinaj, in collaboration with USAID’s local governance program, launched the One Stop Shop in Berat.  The Municipality of Berat has established an innovative One-Stop Service Center that will enable the Municipality to be substantially more citizen-responsive while also allowing for greater efficiency and transparency. This is an excellent example of partnership as the Municipality used municipal funds to provide furniture and computers, whereas USAID provided the IT platform, users’ manual, manual of procedures for delivering administrative services, and training for municipal staff.
