United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Mark Green will travel to the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Tunisia from February 13-18, 2020.
Administrator Green will travel to Munich, Germany, to attend the 2020 Munich Security Conference from February14-16, 2020. The Administrator will hold various bilateral meetings and participate in panel discussions on topics that will include improving how donors assist fragile societies; corruption as a key enabler for terrorism; preventing violent extremism; protecting youth from radicalization; stabilizing the Sahel; and harmonizing development and security policies.
Afterward, Administrator Green will travel to Tunis, Tunisia, to participate in bilateral meetings with senior officials from the Government of Tunisia and conduct roundtable discussions with Tunisian and Libyan civil-society representatives regarding the current challenges and opportunities that are facing their respective countries. He will also travel to Kairouan to meet with local government officials, participate in the opening of a USAID-funded youth center, and engage young Tunisians in a discussion about their vision to strengthen their communities and country.
