On Tuesday, January 7, 2020, Administrator Mark Green of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) will deliver a keynote speech at the day-long conference entitled, "A Governance Agenda for Preventing Violence in a Fractured World," at the invitation of the United States Institute of Peace.
The Administrator will highlight how USAID's programming supports the common aspirations of democracy advocates worldwide, including transparency, a genuine choice in elections, citizen-responsive governance, human rights and inclusiveness, and youth-centered investments.
Credentialed members of the media are invited to attend and can register by contacting Paul Johnson (pjohnson@usip.org), who also will provide information on access. Administrator Green's remarks will also be live-streamed here.
