U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Deputy Administrator Bonnie Glick will travel to Warsaw and Krakow, Poland, Tbilisi and Gori, Georgia, and Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, January 26-February 5.

In Poland, Deputy Administrator Glick will visit Krakow to attend the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, hosted by the Republic of Poland and the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum. In Warsaw, the Deputy Administrator will meet with young civil society leaders. She will also attend a roundtable on religious freedom hosted by the American Jewish Committee and will meet with Polish Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pawel Jablonski to discuss private sector engagement, ongoing collaboration to support religious and ethnic minorities in Iraq, and USAID's Countering Malign Kremlin Influence Development Framework (CMKI). In addition, she will deliver a keynote address at the Community of Democracies on countering rising authoritarianism across the world.

In Georgia, Deputy Administrator Glick will meet with a wide range of government officials and civil society leaders to underscore USAID's support for Georgia's continued democratic development. While in Georgia, the Deputy Administrator will deliver keynote remarks at the public launch of USAID's Supporting Youth and Women Entrepreneurship in Georgia (YES-Georgia) program, which supports dynamic and inclusive economic growth by empowering entrepreneurs. The event will highlight YES-Georgia's expanded focus on supporting women entrepreneurs through the U.S. Government's Women's Global Development and Prosperity (W-GDP) Initiative. During her visit in Georgia, Deputy Administrator Glick will meet with business leaders to discuss challenges and emerging opportunities for the private sector. She will also visit a USAID-supported group home for children with disabilities and meet with youth representatives of Georgia's ethnically and religiously diverse communities, observing how USAID programming is contributing to a more inclusive and resilient society.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, Deputy Administrator Glick will meet with the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina to discuss USAID's current efforts to support the state's Journey to Self-Reliance and the necessity to combat human trafficking in the country.

The Deputy Administrator will also meet with key members of the Inter-Religious Council to discuss efforts to engage citizens of different ethnic and religious backgrounds. In addition, she will attend a film-screening of the USAID-supported "Connect the Dots" documentary, part of an initiative which brings together young people of different ethnic and religious backgrounds through cultural exchanges and study visits to religious sites across the country. The Deputy Administrator will also visit the USAID-supported firm Trikon to learn more about USAID's efforts to catalyze diaspora investment in Bosnia and Herzegovina. During a meeting with investigative journalists, Deputy Administrator Glick will discuss efforts to counter malign external influence in the region and spotlight anti-corruption efforts.

USAID's Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for Europe and Eurasia Alexander Sokolowski will accompany the Deputy Administrator in Georgia. USAID's Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for Europe and Eurasia Gretchen Birkle will accompany the Deputy Administrator in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
