This July 5, Venezuelans commemorated the 209th anniversary of their independence. The United States stands in unwavering solidarity with all those who are seeking a truly free and democratic Venezuela.
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) will continue to be a lifeline for all Venezuelans through civil-society organizations, independent media, and human-rights defenders who keep the flame of democracy bright in their country. We continue to condemn the crimes and tyranny of the illegitimate Maduro regime, and look forward to the day when all Venezuelans can celebrate their Independence Day in the peace and prosperity they so rightly deserve.
Este 5 de julio, cuando conmemoran los venezolanos el 209º aniversario de su independencia, permanecemos en los Estados Unidos firmemente solidarios con todos aquellos que buscan una Venezuela verdaderamente libre y democrática.
La Agencia Estadounidense para el Desarrollo Internacional (USAID) continuará apoyando a todos los venezolanos a través de las organizaciones de la sociedad civil, los medios independientes, y los defensores de derechos humanos que mantienen la llama de la democracia resplandeciente en su país. Condenamos la venalidad y tiranía del usurpador Nicolás Maduro y esperamos el día en el que puedan todos los venezolanos celebrar su Día de la Independencia en la paz y prosperidad que merecen tan justamente.
