United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Mark Green met today with Moldovan Prime Minister Maia Sandu. Administrator Green reaffirmed USAID's support for the Moldovan people and announced new investments to bolster the reform agenda of the Moldovan Government. Administrator Green expressed his hope that the Government of Moldova will capitalize on the nation's optimism and resolve to implement the systemic changes needed to ensure a prosperous, democratic, self-reliant future for Moldova.
The officials discussed new opportunities to promote broad-based economic growth; fight corruption, and malign external influence; support civic engagement; and strengthen citizen-responsive, democratic processes and institutions.
