The Business Forecast provides information about potential funding and partnership opportunities at USAID and offers partners the opportunity to engage with us early in the procurement process. The Business Forecast is issued while activities are still in the planning phase, so the information in it may change over time.

You’ll find the most recent funding opportunities at beta.SAM.gov and Grants.gov. To receive alerts on Business Forecast updates, conference calls, and resources, sign up for the USAID Acquisition and Assistance email list.

Business Forecast Engagement

The Agency hosts a quarterly webinar to allow partners the opportunity to hear their questions answered by experts.

FY 2021 1st Quarter

On November 19, 2020, USAID held their first quarter FY 2021 Business Forecast and Partner Update engagement. Provided below are the resources shared during the call.

Important Notes on the Business Forecast:

  • The Washington Business Forecast differs from the Mission Business Forecasts for purposes of compliance with the new requirements of the Small Business Administration (SBA). Note that in the Washington Business Forecast, some columns denote “Contracts Only” for SBA reporting.
  • Most indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) awards listed have small business prime and sub-contracting opportunities. Small businesses are encouraged to consider these solicitations.
  • The Agency Business Forecast shares opportunities that are open for bids/proposals, along with potential opportunities that may not yet have a solicitation issued.
  • If you no longer see a contracting opportunity that was provided in previous Agency Business Forecast postings, visit beta.SAM.gov, select “award notices” for type, identify “Agency for International Development,” and search. To find a cancellation, go to beta.SAM.gov and select “modification, amendment, cancel” notices to find solicitation amendments or cancellations. You can also conduct advanced searches to find specific solicitations.
  • If you have questions, you can email the points of contact listed in the Agency Business or find them by searching the USAID Staff Directory.
