Water scarcity has dominated world news in recent days, shedding light on the challenges that many countries face when it comes to managing water resources in a sustainable way. Morocco, like other countries in the Maghreb region, faces this challenge against a backdrop of rapid population growth, urbanization and economic development.
On December 7th 2017, the Career Center of the Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakech dedicated an event to the employability of youth with disabilities. This topic is a major focus of Career Center, which has adopted an inclusive approach to youth employability.
In order to more effectively mobilize Youth Ambassadors and strengthen their role in host institutions, on December 16th-17th 2017, the USAID Career Center program brought together around one hundred Youth Ambassadors for a weekend of team-building, sharing of experiences, and collaborative planning in Mohammedia.
The USAID Career Center located at the Hassan II University in Casablanca continues to roll out its youth employability strategy by bringing youth closer to employers in the private sector.
The sustainability of USAID Career Center depends on the engagement of multiple kinds of stakeholders, including the private sector. Two graduates who supported the mission of USAID Career Center as Youth Ambassadors are now continuing to demonstrate their unwavering commitment to the model as representatives of the private sector.
