At the Hotel Country Club was the launching ceremony of the X Salon Cacao & Chocolate 2019. In this tenth edition the US Government is honored as host country. The ceremony was attended by Minister of Agriculture Fabiola Muñoz, USAID Peru Mission Director Lawrence Rubey, Peruvian authorities, and private sector representatives.
Peru will have the X Salon from July 11th to 14th. This is the most important exhibition and sale space of this valuable product, and aims to integrate the different national and international operators in the value chain of Peruvian cacao and chocolate.
In this event, Mr. Rubey was recognized by the Salon committee “In recognition of his contribution and support to the strengthening of the Cacao and Chocolate chain in Peru, during his tenure as Director of the USAID Mission for Peru 2015-2019.”
Finally, Mr. Rubey thanked the committee for the recognition and highlighted how the cacao and chocolate industry has developed during the last years.
