USAID is supporting Vietnam to systematically provide disability rehabilitation and direct services to persons with disabilities.
Ensuring that key populations (including men who have sex with men, transgender communities, female sex workers, and people who inject drugs) can access HIV prevention and testing services is a priority for PEPFAR Vietnam and civil society organizations (CSOs) play a critical role in this process.
Policy Impact Assessments are a key step in law development and a new requirement under Vietnam’s 2015 Law on Laws. On June 21-22, USAID’s Governance for Inclusive Growth (GIG) program trained government officials from Central and Southern Vietnam provinces on how to assess the social, economic, administrative procedure, gender, and legal system impact of laws, using the Policy Impact Assessment Manual GIG and MOJ developed in 2016.
USAID is working closely with Vietnam’s Ministry of Defense to complete environmental remediation of dioxin contamination at Da Nang International Airport.
Populations most at risk for HIV, including men who have sex with men, prefer to use convenient and confidential online tools to access HIV goods and services.
