To support of the digitalization of public services, data-based policy analysis and the strengthening of public sector capacity, USAID funds the International Food Policy Research Institute through the Evaluating Impact and Building Capacity activity.
For over four decades, the American people have partnered with the people of Egypt to promote an environment where all groups in Egyptian society can lead healthy, productive lives.
USAID’s program in Egypt, totaling over $30 billion since 1978, has directly and fundamentally supported gains such as a reduction in infant and maternal mortality rates, improvement in reading ability in the early grades, and an increase in marketable skills – leading to jobs and lasting prosperity.
Since 1978, USAID has invested more than $3.5 billion to bring potable water and sanitation services to over 25 million Egyptians.
U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission Director Sherry F. Carlin visited Aswan Governorate to reaffirm USAID’s strong partnership with the Egyptian people and support for Egypt’s development priorities, including higher education and voluntary family planning.
